December Leader 2021: Dr. Lisa Rayburn, Esq.

Aside from my parents, she’s one of the most important figures in my life.

I have early memories at the age of 4, stopping in my tracks on the playground, “What is this life. I am so small, and this life is so large. Where is our planet? We are floating in space, in time, in air, and I’m just here.”

I also always knew I had this greatness in me—a light that was fueled by a source I couldn’t name at the time, but now I can of course, and by something so benevolent, full of magic, full of love. Lisa not only affirmed this and my soul, but she revealed the iceberg beneath the water’s surface; for myself and for the world, love and God at large.

Lisa has expanded my world and my heart beyond comparison. I always knew the woman I am today was inside me. But Lisa believed in me; she affirmed, saw, held, she continues to be by my side. I truly feel like I’m a Lisa-record. The wisdom she shares with me truly leaves imprints on my soul. They have shaped the way I live out in the world. She is 100% a role model for me and a dear mentor.

Introducing the wise, the loving and the bubbly, Dr. Lisa Rayburn, Esq.

Dr. Lisa Rayburn, Esq. is an Advisor, Educator, Leadership Counsel, Eco-Theologian, and the Founder/CEO of The Détente Foundation and Rayburn Law.

The Detente Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational and leadership institute with a focus on food systems, water, and thriving environmental systems.

It’s primary objective is to educate and forge alliances between impactful leaders, young entrepreneurs, and the general public to create a regenerative, thriving world. We do this through mass media messaging including film and video content, online and in-person educational programs, along with gathering leaders to dialogue and work together in collaborative alliances.

Lisa’s work includes studies in consciousness, neurotheology, neuroplasticity, and how we might embody ways of being that improve our world. She links messaging with social entrepreneurship and helps entrepreneurs, philanthropists, capital fund managers, and business leaders, among others, to be who the world needs them to be, and build companies and form alliances that serve the world.

Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine, a law degree from Southwestern University School of Law, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Claremont School of Theology in Spiritual Renewal, Contemplative Practice, and Strategic Leadership
